Territory Sales Manager
COMPANY OVERVIEW:
Pavement Maintenance Group (PMG) is the largest franchisee of the SealMaster/Gemseal Brand. PMG is an industry leader in the production and distribution of pavement preservation and maintenance products. JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Represent the company with the highest principles and positive attitude
Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of company material and equipment offerings and provide information to support others within the organization as well as customers
Oversee sales, promotions, and marketing campaigns within the territory
Visit client sites; build, nurture & maintain customer relationships for long term success
Sell through distribution, customer direct & governmental bids
Perform demonstrations and training of materials and equipment
Collaborate with sales and operational teams to drive growth/sales
Share details with customers on additional offerings to provide value added service
Operate gas motors; demonstrate seal coating, line striping machines, & crack sealing machines; must be comfortable with hands-on work and not afraid to get hands dirty
Negotiating experience, a plus
Able to push, pull lift up to 50 lbs. independently
Set-up and assist with trade shows - occasionally on weekends
Occasional overnight travel may be required
QUALIFICATIONS:
Selling skills with outside sales experience required; minimum of two years’ sales experience in the pavement or construction industry preferred
Understanding and experience with governmental sales and knowledge of DOT, ASTM, AASHTO, and Federal specifications a plus
Presentation skills and experience with both large groups and individuals
Committed to working safely and following all policies and procedures.
Excellent organizational skills, time management, prioritization, problem solving and multitasking skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Bi-lingual skills a plus
Can do attitude, create win / win situations for our customer and teams
Proficient use of computer applications, email communication, and Microsoft office suite
Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record.
Proven ability to work in an independent atmosphere
Proven ability to grow and manage client relationships

A desire to support our customers

EQUIPMENT:
The company will supply all necessary tools and equipment, including access to company vehicles, assigned company cell phone and computer.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, climb, bend, squat, use hands and fingers, talk, and hear. Must be able to sit for extended periods while maintaining control of a vehicle and sufficient hand-eye coordination to operate controls, navigate traffic, and maneuver vehicles. Capable of loading and unloading vehicles as required. Additionally, the employee must be able to work outdoors in high temperatures and perform physically demanding tasks.
